Summer Coding
Summer Coding

Every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science. It helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. By starting early, students will have a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path.

At Browning Elementary School, we have been “CODING” in grades 2-6 all school year. Students have learned amazing computer science skills.

As part of a summer challenge, I “challenge” students to finish the Course level they started this school year or complete 20 lessons (not just individual puzzles)
to be recognized in September! This is NOT a requirement but an encouraged continuation of their Media Center Curriculum.

Fill out the attached log and turn it in for a “surprise” prize when students return for the 2018-2019 school year. Included in the document is a a screenshot of what students will see when they visit Code.org They will need to enter their “6 letter section code” to gain access their own account (that can be found in the second picture underneath “Login Info.”).

Thanks for your support, and have a great summer! Mr. Furtah
