Browning's Helping Hands
Relay For Life

Dear Browning Families,

Has your family been affected by cancer?  Have you lost a loved one to cancer?  Are you a cancer survivor or know someone who is?  Then I welcome you to learn more about Relay for Life. Each year, I have done a fun run at Browning to help raise money for a specific cause.  This year our fun run benefited the students at Browning.  However, I want to give our Browning family a chance to give back through a community event.

I will be participating in Relay for Life on May 19, 2018.  Relay is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Each event is 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we.

Sterling Heights and Shelby Township have joined forces for one great event instead of two separate events.  It is held at River Bends Park in Shelby.  I will be there from 10:00am until it ends on Sunday morning.

My family and I have a team this year.  We are Tommy’s Team.  As many of you know I lost my oldest brother Tommy 15 years ago to Leukemia.  In his honor we will be walking, fundraising, celebrating, and even crying!

How can you help?  1. I encourage you to take an hour out of your busy day and come see this amazing event.  2.  Feel free to check out the Relay for Life website.  3.  Donate to my team - Tommy’s Team.   4. Participate in our luminaria fundraiser on the attached form.

                                                                 Thank You,

                                                                  Mrs. Irvine
